The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan has issued a worldwide regional safety advisory calling for increased caution in connection with rising tensions in the Middle East.
This follows a global travel advisory issued by the U.S. Department of State for U.S. citizens, warning that facilities related to the United States and U.S. citizens around the world may become targets of forces supporting Iran.
Due to the deterioration of the situation in the Middle East, the possibility of unexpected incidents occurring outside the Middle East region as well cannot be ruled out. The Japanese government is urging people to gather the latest information and to pay greater than usual attention to their surroundings.
