ANA and Singapore Airlines Apply to Malaysian Regulator for Antitrust Exemption on Joint Business
Oriental Land will establish a new company, Oriental Land Cruise.
The company will be responsible for the management, operation, planning, development, and sales of cruise passenger ships based in Japan. This move is part of Oriental Land’s initiative to launch Disney Cruise Line sailings based in Japan in fiscal 2028.
Based on Disney Cruise Line’s existing ship, the “Disney Wish,” Oriental Land is working together with Disney to adjust detailed designs for compliance with Japanese-flagged vessel specifications, as well as onboard content and design. Construction of the hull is scheduled to begin in the second half of fiscal 2026. Going forward, the business will be developed under the name “Disney Cruise Line Japan.”
Oriental Land will own 100% of the shares. Ryotaro Shiiba will assume the position of President and Representative Director. The company is scheduled to be established on April 3.
