ANA and Singapore Airlines Apply to Malaysian Regulator for Antitrust Exemption on Joint Business
Japan Airlines (JAL) and Cargolux Airlines will strengthen their partnership.
They will launch a codeshare on the Tokyo/Narita–Luxembourg route operated by Cargolux Airlines. In addition, they will begin interline cargo transportation on the Tokyo/Narita–Chicago route operated by Japan Airlines (JAL).
This will enable JAL to secure cargo space on European routes, while adding Cargolux’s network beyond Luxembourg and making cargo transport to various parts of Europe possible. Cargolux Airlines, in turn, will be able to complement its existing network between Asia and North America.
Cargolux Airlines is a Luxembourg-based cargo airline. It operates a fleet of 30 aircraft in total, consisting of Boeing 747-8F and Boeing 747-400F freighters. The airline serves more than 50 cities worldwide and has a trucking network to over 250 cities. It began serving Komatsu, Japan, in July 1994, with JAL handling its ground operations. For Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, the airline supported the transportation of exhibits.
