JR East Begins Regular Operation of Dedicated Cargo Shinkansen Using Converted E3 Series on Tohoku Shinkansen
Nankai Electric Railway will introduce a dedicated new uniform for the attendants of the sightseeing train “GRAN Tenkū.”
“GRAN Tenkū” is a sightseeing train that will begin operation on April 24. Attendants on the currently operating “Tenkū” train wear uniforms shared with those of some limited express trains. The new uniform will be designed by Junko Koshino. It will feature a unisex design and employ colors and patterns that blend in with the seasonal scenery along the railway line leading to Mount Koya (Koyasan), while also balancing functionality and ease of movement suitable for long working hours on board.
Junko Koshino has also designed the current uniforms worn by Nankai Electric Railway employees in the transportation and technical divisions. This time, the design concept reflects both the natural environment along the route to Mount Koya and the interior atmosphere of “GRAN Tenkū.” Detailed specifications of the uniforms and the colors to be adopted will be announced at a later date.
