HIS Launches BOLEH BOLEH Ride AI-Powered On-Demand Shared Transport Service in Kuala Lumpur
GO has expanded the service area of its ride-sharing service “GO Economy” within the taxi-hailing app “GO,” effective April 1.
Previously, the area had been divided into the central Tokyo area and the Shibuya area, but these have now been integrated. The operating area has been expanded from the northwestern part of Shibuya Ward to cover the entire Shibuya Ward, and new areas such as Komaba-Todaimae, Ikejiri-Ohashi, and Sangenjaya have been added. The number of pick-up and drop-off spots will increase to around 6,500 locations, more than 1.5 times the previous figure.
“GO Economy” launched in December 2024 as “GO Shuttle” in Tokyo’s waterfront area. Since GO had been conducting a proof-of-concept trial with Shibuya Ward since September 2025, the service areas were separated. Multiple passengers can share a ride between designated pick-up and drop-off spots for approximately half to 90 percent of the usual taxi fare. The fare is fixed in advance. The second seat is priced lower than the first seat. There is an upper limit on the distance that can be used.
The service operates roughly from 7:00 a.m. to around 1:00 a.m. The operators are Nihon Kotsu, Hello Tokyo, and Yoyogi Jidosha.
