Japan Airlines (JAL) will operate an extra flight on the Tokyo/Narita–London/Heathrow route.
The operation date is April 25. The aircraft will be a Boeing 787-8 configured with a total of 186 seats, comprising 30 seats in Business Class and 156 seats in Economy Class.
This measure is in response to the concentration of demand on non-stop flights to Europe due to the prolonged situation in the Middle East. Non-stop flights to Europe from Japan have been operating at or near full capacity on a daily basis, and JAL states that it decided to operate this extra service in light of the strong demand for London and the network of British Airways.
Meanwhile, JAL has decided to extend additional cancellations on the Tokyo/Narita–Doha route through May 11.
