JAL Holds Ceremony Celebrating 40th Anniversary of Nagoya–Honolulu Route
Eastar Jet will launch collaboration marketing with “Shishamoneko.”
Shishamoneko is a character created in Tokushima, Japan, in 2011, featuring a unique visual that combines the fish shishamo and a cat. Shishamoneko will be featured at various customer touchpoints, including the Japanese-language official website, airport check-in counters in Japan, mobile boarding passes, in-flight headrest covers, and advertisements. A photo spot has been set up at Busan’s airport, and the airline also plans to release merchandise using the collaboration logo.
To commemorate the collaboration, a discount promotion will be held on the official website from April 8 to 10 for flights from Japan to Seoul/Incheon and Busan. For travel between April 8 and June 30, customers who enter the promotion code “NEKO72” in the promotion code field on the official website will receive a discount of up to 7%.
The airline commented, “Through the Shishamoneko collaboration, we hope that Japanese customers will feel a closer affinity with our brand, while Korean customers will be inspired to take an interest in Tokushima, where the character was born.”
