Fairmont Tokyo Launches Year-Round Fairmont Sunday Brunch with Seafood and Charcoal-Grilled Dishes
Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management revised the housekeeping standards for consecutive-night stays at 32 Mitsui Garden Hotels properties in Japan on April 1.
Under the new standards, linen changes including bed sheets will be conducted “once every three days” (all linens changed on the 4th night) and implemented at 32 hotels in Japan, excluding Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji (for Mitsui Garden Hotel Prana Tokyo Bay and Mitsui Garden Hotel Okayama, this will apply from their post-renovation reopening). Guests who wish to have their linens changed more frequently must place the in-room “Sheet Change Request Card” on the bed to notify staff. Apart from sheet changes, other housekeeping services such as bed making, towel replacement, garbage collection, and room cleaning will continue to be provided daily as before.
In addition, the hotel group is transitioning some amenities such as toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and razors to biomass plastics derived from natural sources and to paper packaging. All hotels operated by the company have switched to electricity that is effectively zero in carbon dioxide emissions, and the group is also working to reduce food waste and promote resource circulation by measuring leftover food at buffets and utilizing the food-sharing service “TABETE”.
