Air France to Serve About 170 Cities in 73 Countries in Summer Schedule
Spain’s Iberia Airlines will conduct a trial introduction of sustainable seats developed by Recaro Aircraft Seating.
By introducing seat pockets made from upcycled fishing nets, approximately 2 kilograms of material can be reused for each single-aisle seat set. The seats will also incorporate real wood-based elements integrated into the seat bumpers.
Iberia will be the first airline in the world to introduce these seats. They will be installed on the “R1” and “R2” economy class seats of the Airbus A320neo, and will be operated on a trial basis for at least six months.
