
ZIPAIR Tokyo to Launch Tokyo–Narita – Kuala Lumpur Route in 2026
Etihad Airways will launch new services to five cities in mainland China.
From October 1, the airline will operate one round-trip flight per day to Shanghai Pudong; from March 4, 2027, one round-trip flight per day to Guangzhou and five round-trip flights per week to Hangzhou; from March 5, four round-trip flights per week to Chengdu Tianfu; and from March 7, five round-trip flights per week to Shenzhen.
All flights will be operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft configured with a total of 290 seats, comprising 28 in business class and 262 in economy class.
Including the existing Abu Dhabi–Beijing Daxing route, Etihad will serve six cities in mainland China with 35 round-trip flights per week. The airline states that this will be one of its largest recent expansions into a single market, and that the routes will be included in its joint venture with China Eastern Airlines.
