United Airlines and JCB (Japan Credit Bureau) have launched issuance of the new “MileagePlus JCB Platinum Card” as of April 16.
The two companies have been partners since 1982 and have been issuing the “MileagePlus JCB Card.” Until now, they offered three card types: Classic, Standard, and Gold.
The card offers 10,000 miles as a sign-up and renewal bonus. As a usage bonus, cardholders receive 10,000 miles for annual spending of 3 million yen or more, and 20,000 miles for annual spending of 8 million yen or more. In addition, up to 10,000 miles are awarded based on the amount spent on United Airlines ticket purchases. The card comes with domestic and overseas travel accident insurance automatically attached, and includes four United Club passes per year. Cardholders can also use JCB’s premium services and “JCB Premium Stay Powered by HoteLux.”
The annual fee is 110,000 yen (tax included), and 11,000 yen (tax included) for each family member card. A new membership campaign is also being held, offering up to 200,000 miles and original merchandise.
