H.I.S. (H.I.S. Co., Ltd., a major Japanese travel agency) has updated its measures in response to the situation in the Middle East.
For overseas package tours (Ciao, impresso) and overseas flight + hotel products (organized package tours), trips with destinations in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan, for which Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a Level 2 or Level 3 travel advisory, as well as trips transiting via Dubai, Doha, or Abu Dhabi, will have departures through May 31 suspended.
For customers who have booked overseas air tickets, overseas air ticket + hotel (arranged travel), or overseas hotels, arrangements will follow the standard rules of each airline, hotel, and local tour operator. If special measures are introduced due to a worsening situation, the special conditions of each company will apply.
Cancellations made before the official decision to suspend a tour, as well as cancellations of trips to regions other than those mentioned above, will incur the standard cancellation fees.
