Etihad Airways will launch flights on the Abu Dhabi–Dhaka route on June 26.
The airline will operate four round trips per week as seasonal service until October 24, with departures from Abu Dhabi on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and departures from Dhaka on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The route will be operated with Boeing 777 aircraft configured with a total of 302 seats, comprising 28 in Business Class and 274 in Economy Class. The flight time is 4 hours 50 minutes from Abu Dhabi and 5 hours 5 minutes from Dhaka.
The new service is intended to strengthen trade and cargo connectivity in South Asia and to meet the steady and ongoing demand for travel and logistics between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bangladesh. The UAE is home to one of the world’s largest Bangladeshi communities, while Bangladesh is a major hub for the apparel and textile industry, meaning further efficiency gains are expected in cargo transport.
