Etihad Airways will increase flights on its Abu Dhabi–Kabul route to one round trip per day from May 1.
The route, which launched on March 20 with four round trips per week, will become a daily service just six weeks after its inauguration. The airline will operate Airbus A320 aircraft configured with a total of 158 seats, including 8 in Business Class and 150 in Economy Class. The flight time is 3 hours from Abu Dhabi and 3 hours 20 minutes from Kabul.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is home to the largest Afghan community in the Gulf region. The route is said to be capturing demand for nonstop travel between the two cities, as well as connecting traffic from around the world. The schedule is designed to offer smooth connections to destinations across Europe and North America.
