
One REIT Acquires Five Hotels Including DoubleTree by Hilton Naha Shuri Castle
Sheraton Kagoshima, located in Kagoshima, Japan, will collaborate with JA Kagoshima Prefectural Economic Federation and JF Kagoshima Prefectural Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives to host the “American & Mexican Gourmet Collection” from April 2 to June 30.
The event will feature Kagoshima ingredients such as the branded pork “Chamiton,” seafood, and vegetables, served in an American and Mexican style using an array of spices and herbs. The menu includes American home-style pot roast, original tacos that guests can finish with their choice of fillings, meatloaf, buffalo chicken, and more. The venue is the restaurant Daily Social. Serving hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch, and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for dinner. Prices are JPY 5,000 for lunch and JPY 7,000 for dinner. Elementary school students are half price, and children below school age dine for free. During the event period, a special weekday discount will be offered as a third-anniversary appreciation promotion for the hotel’s opening.
On the 19th floor, the bar “VIVARIUM” will also offer cocktails themed on the United States and Mexico (JPY 2,300 each). “Late Night Movie” layers caramel, bitters, and cola mousse over bourbon infused with the aroma of popcorn, while “VIVA Mexico” combines tequila scented with bacon and jalapeño with tomato.
