JALPAK will revise how accommodation tax is handled in its “JAL Dynamic Package,” which combines air tickets and hotel stays.
Currently, accommodation tax is included in the tour price, but this will be changed so that it is not included. Travelers will need to pay the accommodation tax directly at the lodging facility.
The change applies to reservations made on or after June 1, for check-in dates on or after February 1, 2027. Accommodation tax systems differ by region, such as a fixed uniform amount, a tiered fixed amount, or a percentage-based rate, and some municipalities do not levy any accommodation tax.
