
ORIX HOTELS & RESORTS to Open CROSS Suites Tokyo Asakusa on July 3
Hilton Kyoto is offering a “Spring Afternoon Tea” from April 7 to June 19.
The menu consists of 9 kinds of fruit-based sweets and 4 kinds of savory items. The sweets lineup includes the cherry blossom-scented “Amarena Cherry Pound Cake with Sakura Cream,” “Melon and White Chocolate Tart,” which combines the juiciness of melon with white chocolate, honey and apricot mousse, mixed berry charlotte, and carpaccio of domestically produced Japanese mango. The savory selection combines an open sandwich with green peas and ricotta cheese, a Japanese wagyu pastrami mini burger, a sakura-smoked chicken mini tart, and a mini cone filled with smoked trout rillettes.
Drinks are served free-flow and include various coffees made with Hilton Kyoto’s original blend from Ogawa Coffee in Kyoto, sencha and hojicha from Yamashiro Yamamasa Koyamaen in Uji, Kyoto, as well as Japanese black tea and blended teas from Art of Tea.
The venue is the first-floor lobby lounge and bar “LATTICE LOUNGE.” Service is offered in 120-minute sittings from noon to 5:30 p.m. The price is 6,800 yen. Reservations are accepted via the official website and by phone.
An “Afternoon Tea Takeout Box,” which contains two servings of seven of the main sweets, is also available. The price is 9,800 yen per set for two people, and advance reservation by the previous day is required. Pickup is available from noon to 9:00 p.m.
