ORIX HOTELS & RESORTS to Open CROSS Suites Tokyo Asakusa on July 3
Henn na Hotel Fukuoka Hakata in Japan has collaborated with YAMAYA Communications and has been offering a “YAMAYA Collaboration Room” since April 10.
The guest room features an interior design themed around mentaiko (spicy cod roe), using the package design and image photos of the Kyushu-only product “Oishii Hakata-ori Karashi Mentaiko,” as well as the character “Yamaya Mentaichan” on the walls and amenities. The entire room is decorated with motifs inspired by YAMAYA’s karashi mentaiko.
Overnight guests receive a gift set that includes “Nomu Umadashi Soup,” a soup enjoyed by adding hot water, “Ofuro de Mentaiko Kibun Bath Additive,” a yuzu-scented bath additive containing chili pepper extract, kelp (makombu) extract, and sake lees extract, and a “Yamaya Mentaichan Key Holder.”
At the hotel’s small on-site shop, products used in the guest room are mainly sold, including “Ofuro de Mentaiko Kibun Bath Additive,” “Nomu Umadashi Soup,” and the “Yamaya Mentaichan Key Holder.” Room rates start from 18,000 yen per room including breakfast, tax, and service charge.
