Air India launched its Delhi–Hanoi route on May 1.
The airline operates five round-trip flights per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The route is operated with Airbus A320neo aircraft. The flight time is 4 hours and 30 minutes from Delhi and 4 hours and 45 minutes from Hanoi.
Hanoi is Air India’s second destination in Vietnam after Ho Chi Minh City, and its eighth destination in Southeast Asia. The carrier operates one round-trip flight per day to Ho Chi Minh City, making it suitable for circular itineraries within Vietnam. Air India also aims to attract transfer passengers traveling between Vietnam and Europe/North America via Delhi.
