Skymark Airlines has decided to configure its Boeing 737-10 aircraft with 207 seats.
The airline plans to introduce 7 aircraft starting in fiscal year 2027. Compared to the Boeing 737-800, the number of seats will increase by 30 (approximately 17 percent). In order to maintain a seat pitch of 31 inches, the number of seats was reduced from the initially planned 210. The aircraft will be deployed mainly on trunk routes to and from Tokyo/Haneda, where load factors are high, to capture demand.
Fuel consumption can be reduced by approximately 19 percent compared to the Boeing 737-800. The Boeing 737-800 fleet will be retired in stages, and the airline expects to operate a total of 33 aircraft from fiscal year 2028 onward.
