
APA Group Acquires Hotel Development Site in Hiroshima, Plans New APA Hotel Hiroshima Hacchobori Station South
Ishin Hotels Group will rebrand and open “the b Kanazawa Katamachi” on June 1.
The property will be rebranded from APA Hotel <Kanazawa Katamachi> EXCELLENT, located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. APA Hotel <Kanazawa Katamachi> EXCELLENT originally opened in March 2000 as APA Villa Hotel <Kanazawa Katamachi> and was later renamed. The hotel has 42 guest rooms, all of which are twin rooms. As of May 1, the operating company has been changed to BHO, a subsidiary of Ishin Hotels Group. All rooms are junior suites of at least 32 square meters, and are equipped with a microwave, closet, and Nescafé Dolce Gusto, with separate bath and toilet areas.
With the rebranding, the hotel will change its in-room facilities, services, and amenities, and introduce an “amenity buffet” where guests can select amenities themselves. The renovation of the guest room specifications will be carried out from June 8 to July 24, with a grand reopening scheduled for August 1.
“the b” is a hotel brand operated by Ishin Hotels Group. The APA Group acquired Ishin Hotels Group in June 2025 (For more information). This will mark the first expansion of the the b brand into Japan’s Hokuriku region.
Among the hotels operated by APA Hotel, there are currently five properties carrying the upper-tier “EXCELLENT” brand. Their main concept is to be an “environmentally conscious high-grade hotel that provides guests with kindness and comfort through all five senses.”
