American Airlines will gradually introduce Starlink, the low Earth orbit satellite communication service provided by SpaceX, starting from the first quarter of 2027.
The service will be installed on more than 500 narrow-body aircraft and will be available on domestic routes within the United States and short-haul international routes. Newly introduced Airbus A321XLR and Airbus A321neo aircraft will also be equipped.
Starlink’s low Earth orbit satellite communication service is characterized by high-speed and low-latency connectivity. Airlines such as ZIPAIR Tokyo (Japan), Qatar Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, and United Airlines have already introduced Starlink.
