Grand Hyatt Fukuoka has been offering the “Yame Tea × Herb Afternoon Tea” and the “Concept Dinner Order Buffet – Yame Tea –” since May 1.
The Yame Tea × Herb Afternoon Tea features Yame tea and domestically grown herbs from herb producer “Nakamuraen,” and promotes a tea experience that is not only for drinking but also for eating and savoring. The menu includes sweets such as matcha mousse paired with yuzu cream and sesame sablé, and savory items including basil panna cotta served as a melon soup and Hakata wagyu and Yame sencha minced meat cutlets. In addition, a chef’s special of Yame matcha ice cream with cherry compote is available, and guests can order as many drinks as they like from about 15 varieties, including teas from Nakamuraen.
The dinner order buffet, created to mark the 30th anniversary of the hotel’s opening, is structured around a different theme every two months. For May and June, in addition to the approximately 40 existing items, the menu features 9 limited dishes using Yame tea from Nakamuraen, including appetizers, pasta and risotto, main dishes, and desserts. Along with a main course that combines lamb and abalone with a Yame gyokuro sauce and onion purée simmered in red wine, the lineup includes seared medium-fatty tuna marinated in Yame sencha, chilled capellini with Yame matcha, and Yame black tea ice cream. Guests choose one main dish and can then order unlimited salads, appetizers, soups, pasta and risotto, and desserts.
The afternoon tea is served at the basement level 1 bar lounge “Bar Fizz.” Seating times are for two hours each, starting at 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. The price is 6,000 yen, tax included, service charge not included. The offering period runs until June 30.
The order buffet is served at the first-floor restaurant “The Market F.” Service hours are from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (last order 8:30 p.m.), and on Fridays, Saturdays, and days before national holidays from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (last order 9:00 p.m.). The price is 8,000 yen, tax included, service charge not included. The offering period runs until June 29.
