Ace Launches Aluminum Luggage ‘ace. Algonam 3-F’
RIMOWA will launch a Japan-original collection commemorating the 30th anniversary of Pokémon on June 2.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, the collection features Pokémon appearing in the Japanese games “Pocket Monsters Red and Green,” expressed through themes such as “The Beginning of the Journey,” “Spirit of Adventure,” and “Encounters with Friends.” The lineup includes three types of luggage charms made from Italian leather with embossing and hand finishing, a sticker set, and a wheel set.
The charms feature Pikachu paired with a silver-colored suitcase, Charmander with an orange suitcase, and Charizard with a magenta suitcase. The stickers depict Pikachu and Pokémon from the Japanese “Pocket Monsters Red and Green,” including Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. The wheels come in a red and white color scheme reminiscent of a Monster Ball (Poké Ball), and can be installed via the customization service “RIMOWA UNIQUE” on all models of the Classic collection, as well as on Cabin-size suitcases in the Original and Essential collections.
The charms “Pikachu,” “Charmander,” and “Charizard” are each priced at 42,900 yen, the “Pokémon” wheel set at 42,900 yen, and the “RIMOWA & Pokémon Sticker Set” at 7,700 yen. Purchases are limited to one of each item per person. Only the sticker set will be delivered at a later date. All prices include tax.
On the first day of release, lottery entries will be accepted from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at six RIMOWA stores in Japan: Omotesando, Ginza 7-chome, Nagoya Sakae, Osaka Shinsaibashi, Kobe, and Fukuoka. If stock remains, items will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis from 4:00 p.m. The official website will also sell items on a first-come, first-served basis from 4:00 p.m. The in-store lottery is open to customers aged 16 and over.
