Japan Airlines (JAL) will end operations of its special livery aircraft “DREAM SHO JET” (Airbus A350-900, registration: JA08XJ), featuring Japanese Major League Baseball (MLB) player Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The final flight will be flight JL326 from Fukuoka to Tokyo/Haneda on June 10.
The aircraft has been operated as a special jet symbolizing JAL’s “DREAM MILES PASS” project, launched in September 2024 to support young people pursuing their dreams, and it entered service on September 29 of the same year. The design features a large illustration of Shohei Ohtani, who excels as a two-way player both as a pitcher and batter, on the rear fuselage. On the left side, the main focus is on Ohtani as a batter wearing a helmet, while on the right side the main focus is on Ohtani as a pitcher wearing a glove.
