Cathay Pacific Lounge at Narita Airport to Temporarily Close for Renovation
Tokyo International Air Terminal Corporation has newly established a dedicated pick-up area for ride-hailing apps on the 8th floor of Parking P5, which is adjacent to Haneda Airport Terminal 3, and began operation on June 9.
Three apps—Uber, GO, and DiDi—have started supporting the service. This is the first time that a dedicated pick-up area jointly used by multiple ride-hailing apps has been set up at Terminal 3 of Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan.
The dedicated pick-up area is located on the 8th floor, about a 5-minute walk from the arrival lobby of Terminal 3. The new pick-up zone was introduced to ease traffic congestion on roads around the airport and to improve convenience for users, against the backdrop of a rapid increase in inbound foreign travelers to Japan and the growing use of ride-hailing apps. At Terminals 1 and 2, the effect of such facilities has already been confirmed: for example, the number of Uber rides in April was about double that of before the dedicated pick-up area was introduced (September 2025).
When users open each app and enter their destination, the dedicated pick-up area on the 8th floor of Parking P5 will automatically be set as the pick-up location. When using DiDi Special, the pick-up location will be the Haneda Airport Garden Parking A.
