Hotel New Otani Makuhari is offering the “Afternoon Tea Set – Strawberry & Mango” from May 7 to June 30.
The three-tier tea stand is composed of the following: the top tier features strawberry shortcake, mango shortcake, the new edo matcha shortcake, and a lemon macaron; the middle tier offers melon jelly, mango pudding, matcha soufflé fromage, and a strawberry scone; and the bottom tier includes a strawberry croissant sandwich shaped like a triangular hat, Provence-style quiche, and a wagyu smash burger.
The set also comes with chilled green pea potage, an early-summer vegetable chopped salad, French fries with consommé butter flavor, and a mango passion soda with assorted chocolates. For drinks, more than 10 kinds of teas and soft drinks are available, including black teas such as Darjeeling, Assam, and Nilgiri, as well as Fruit Garden and seasonal green rooibos flavored teas.
The venue is the Penthouse Lounge “Baycourt Cafe” on the 24th floor. The serving hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The price is 6,600 yen for the afternoon tea set (120-minute limit), and 7,150 yen for the window-seat-guaranteed plan with a complimentary welcome drink (150-minute limit). Service charge is extra.
