Japan Airlines (JAL) will increase flights on the Tokyo/Narita–San Diego route from August 1.
JAL is currently operating four round trips per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It had originally planned to increase service to one round trip per day from September 1, but has brought the plan forward in order to meet strong inbound demand. The aircraft used will be the Boeing 787-9. The flight time is 9 hours and 50 minutes from Tokyo/Narita, and 11 hours and 45 minutes from San Diego.
In addition, the Tokyo/Narita–Bengaluru route will also see its schedule brought forward, increasing to one round trip per day from August 18.
