H.I.S. (HIS), a major Japanese travel agency, has updated its response measures in line with the situation in the Middle East.
For overseas package tours (Ciao, impresso) and overseas flight + hotel products (organized tours), trips destined for Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan—countries for which Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued overseas travel safety information at Level 2 or Level 3—as well as trips transiting via Dubai, Doha, or Abu Dhabi, will have their departures through July 31 suspended.
For customers who have booked overseas air tickets, overseas air tickets + hotel (arranged travel), or overseas hotels, the handling will follow the standard regulations of each airline, hotel, and local tour operator. If special measures are introduced due to deterioration of the situation, the special regulations of each company will apply.
Cancellations made before a formal decision to suspend operations, as well as cancellations of trips to regions other than those specified above, will incur cancellation fees in accordance with the standard terms and conditions.
