JALPAK is selling the “JAL Furusato Ouenwari Amami Island-Hopping Discount” from June 16 to December 15.
This campaign utilizes subsidies from the Amami Islands Wide-Area Administrative Union in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Discounted plans are available for stays on five islands in the Amami archipelago: Amami Oshima, Kikai Island, Tokunoshima, Okinoerabu Island, and Yoronjima. Under the “1-Island Tour” plan, travelers who stay “at least one night” on any one of Kikai Island, Tokunoshima, Okinoerabu Island, or Yoronjima and whose total trip price is at least 40,000 yen per person receive a 15,000-yen discount. Under the “2-Island Tour” plan, travelers who use different airports for their outbound and inbound flights among Amami Oshima, Kikai Island, Tokunoshima, Okinoerabu Island, and Yoronjima, stay at least one night somewhere within the Amami Islands, and whose total trip price is at least 45,000 yen per person receive a 20,000-yen discount.
The departure period runs from June 28 to December 25, and trips returning by January 7, 2027, are eligible. Departures from July 18 to August 13 are excluded. Applications must be made no later than 10 days before departure. The number of travelers per booking can range from 1 to 6 people.
Travelers who complete a pre-departure questionnaire will receive an electronic coupon worth 5,000 yen, the “Amami Islands Shimameguri Discount Coupon (electronic coupon),” which can be used at participating local shops. As an optional plan, a “One-Week Unlimited Ferry Pass” is available, allowing passengers to ride designated ferries connecting the target islands as many times as they like for a flat fee.
