EXPO2025 MYAKU MYAKU Handy Fan On Sale at Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025
The world’s first AI art museum, “DATALAND,” opened on June 20 inside the mixed-use complex “The Grand LA” in downtown Los Angeles, United States.
The facility, which covers more than 2,300 square meters, was created by Refik Anadol Studio led by Turkish-born media artist Refik Anadol. Located within The Grand LA designed by architect Frank Gehry, it becomes a new cultural institution in the Grand Avenue arts district, where The Broad, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), and the Walt Disney Concert Hall are concentrated.
Inside the museum are five galleries that offer an immersive art experience which changes in real time in response to visitors’ reactions, by combining AI, neuroscience, and wearable technology with scent, light, and sound. The opening exhibition, “Machine Dreams: Rainforest,” analyzes vast amounts of data from tropical rainforests using AI and offers an experience in which images, light, and sound change in real time. The exhibition runs until January 31, 2027.
To commemorate the opening, selected works from DATALAND are also being specially exhibited on several large screens in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B) at Los Angeles International Airport.
