HIS to Launch “XploreRide New York” XR Bus Tour on July 1
Recruit Co., Ltd. and Satofull Co., Ltd. will integrate the travel booking site “Jalan.net” with the Japanese hometown tax (furusato nozei) portal site “Satofull” to offer “Jalan Furusato Tax Coupons,” which can be used at accommodation facilities in the municipalities that receive donations.
The Jalan Furusato Tax Coupon is a travel coupon that can be used when booking stays at accommodation facilities within the area designated by the donor municipality, and it discounts the payment amount for eligible properties on Jalan.net. The coupon can also be applied retroactively to already-booked stays. It supports both flows: selecting the eligible accommodation and donation amount from the Jalan.net side, then completing the donation process on Satofull, and applying for the coupon on the Satofull side and then moving to Jalan.net from the donation history to make a reservation.
Unlike physical return gifts, the aim is to increase opportunities for donors to actually visit the region and to expand opportunities for them to experience local tourism and culture. By leveraging the know-how in customer attraction and operational support that both companies have accumulated to date, they will create a scheme that is easy for Japanese municipalities to introduce and thereby contribute to regional revitalization.
The screen and functions for displaying coupons on Jalan.net are still under consideration, and the start of service integration and coupon provision is scheduled for this autumn in Japan.
