Etihad Airways launched its Abu Dhabi–Dhaka route on June 26.
The service will operate seasonally through October 24, with four weekly round trips. Flights from Abu Dhabi will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, while flights from Dhaka will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Boeing 777 aircraft will be used, configured with 28 Business Class seats and 374 Economy Class seats, for a total of 302 seats. Flight time is 4 hours and 50 minutes from Abu Dhabi and 5 hours and 5 minutes from Dhaka.
The route will strengthen trade and cargo transportation links in South Asia and meet steady, sustained demand for travel and logistics between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bangladesh. The UAE is home to one of the world’s largest Bangladeshi communities, while Bangladesh is a major hub for the apparel and textile industry, and the service is also expected to improve cargo transport efficiency.
