GENSEN HOLDINGS will reopen Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Matsunoi under its new brand on August 7.
Formerly known as Minakami Onsen Gensen-yu no Yado Matsunoi, the property offers a wide variety of room types, including Japanese-style, Western-style, and Japanese-Western-style rooms. Some guest rooms feature open-air baths, allowing guests to enjoy hot springs in their rooms. It will be the 27th property in the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Group’s Premium series.
The property features three open-air baths and two large public baths using its own hot spring source, as well as baths overlooking a Japanese garden, standing baths, pot baths, and reclining baths. It also offers five private baths, an indoor kids’ park, and a seasonal outdoor pool available during summer.
Meals are served buffet-style at the restaurant, featuring dishes from a live kitchen, hot spring steam-basket dishes, and Gunma specialties such as motsu ni (stewed offal) and sauce katsudon, a breaded pork cutlet rice bowl with sauce. The Premium Lounge offers free-flow coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages, while a library with a fireplace overlooks the garden.
Access: approximately 5 minutes by car from JR Minakami Station or the Minakami Interchange (IC) on the Kan-Etsu Expressway.
