Hong Kong Express Airways launched a new Hong Kong–Wuxi route on July 17.
The airline will operate one daily round trip through October 24. Flight time is 2 hours and 30 minutes from Hong Kong and 2 hours and 35 minutes from Wuxi.
To mark the departure of the inaugural flight at Hong Kong International Airport, a commemorative ceremony was attended by Hong Kong Express Airways CEO Janet Mao, executives from the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong, and the Airport Authority Hong Kong. The new route was celebrated with an erhu performance by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra.
Wuxi is Hong Kong Express Airways’ sixth destination in mainland China. Shenzhen Airlines also operates the route.
