Shin Yokohama Prince Hotel, together with the KOSÉ Shin-Yokohama Skate Center operated by the company, is holding the second installment of its collaboration with the character Pingu from June 15 through August 31.
Under the theme of a “summer festival” with Pingu and friends, the collaboration includes an afternoon tea, concept rooms, and activities at the skate center.
The afternoon tea features sweets shaped like Pingu wearing a twisted hachimaki headband, Pinga, and Robby, as well as menu items inspired by Japanese summer festivals, including goldfish scooping, candied apples, and yo-yos. Savory offerings include shrimp and seafood spring rolls with a Western-style sauce and fish burgers. Four original non-alcoholic drinks inspired by the characters are also available.
The concept rooms are decorated throughout with original illustrations depicting Pingu and friends in summer festival attire. Guests can take home items such as face towels and drawstring pouches, as well as a card key with an exclusive design.
At the KOSÉ Shin-Yokohama Skate Center, collaboration skating tickets inspired by ice-skating scenes from the series are available for purchase. The tickets include public skating admission, skate rental, and merchandise including an acrylic key holder featuring an original illustration.
Afternoon tea is served at the 42nd-floor Top of Yokohama Bar Lounge. On weekdays, it is offered in two 120-minute sessions starting at 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.; on weekends and holidays, sessions begin at 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Prices are 7,500 yen per member and 8,500 yen per non-member, while the four original non-alcoholic drinks are 1,600 yen each. All prices include tax but exclude the service charge.
