Philippine Airlines to Add Up to 20 Boeing 787-10s
AerCap has placed an additional order for 15 Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
The agreement also includes the right to convert the orders to Boeing 787-10 aircraft, enabling AerCap to offer customers greater capacity and operational flexibility.
“As demand for the latest generation of fuel-efficient widebody aircraft continues to grow, this transaction enables us to offer our customers even greater access to the Boeing 787, one of the industry’s most versatile and in-demand aircraft families,” said Aengus Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of AerCap. “The Boeing 787 has consistently delivered superior operating economics and exceptional performance across a wide range of route networks.”
AerCap was the first leasing company to take delivery of a Boeing 787. With this latest order, its total Boeing 787 orders have increased to approximately 140 aircraft.
