Greater Bay Airlines will resume operations on its Sendai–Hong Kong route from December 17.
The airline launched the service in September 2024, but has suspended it since March due to a decline in inbound visitors to Japan amid worsening Japan–China relations. Following the resumption, the route will operate three weekly round trips on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Boeing 737-800 aircraft, configured with 188 Economy Class seats, will be used.
With this resumption, Greater Bay Airlines will operate five routes to Japan, including services connecting Hong Kong with Tokyo/Narita, Osaka/Kansai, Sapporo/Chitose, and Fukuoka.
