Cathay Pacific will postpone the resumption of its Middle East routes.
It had initially planned to operate one daily round trip between Hong Kong and Dubai from September 1, and four weekly round trips between Hong Kong and Riyadh on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Service on the Hong Kong–Dubai route is now scheduled to resume from October 25, while the Hong Kong–Riyadh route is scheduled to resume from October 26.
Cathay Pacific stated, “We will continue to closely monitor developments in the Middle East and assess the situation on an ongoing basis.” The airline has also extended its special ticket handling arrangements for flights to and from Dubai, Riyadh, and Doha.
