Tokyo Okutama Onsen Okutamaji reopened on July 18.
The property has a total of 25 guest rooms: 17 Standard Rooms (Japanese-style rooms), 6 Superior Rooms (Japanese-Western-style, Japanese-modern, and Western-style rooms), and 2 Suite Rooms. The suites include options with private open-air baths and saunas. Existing guest rooms have also been renovated, with new Japanese-modern rooms and Superior Rooms featuring large windows added.
A new open-air bath has been installed in the large public bath area, allowing guests to bathe close to the clear waters of the Tama River and the surrounding trees. The property uses water from Tsurunoyu, a hot spring sourced in Okutama. It is a clear, colorless alkaline simple sulfur spring with a sulfur aroma.
Meals feature local and seasonal ingredients, including freshwater fish and mountain produce from the Okutama area, and are offered on an all-inclusive basis that includes beverages. The lobby and lounge have also been renovated with interiors incorporating natural materials. In the lounge, which features large windows overlooking the Tama River and surrounding nature, guests can enjoy complimentary drinks freely.
