Japan Airlines (JAL) and Money Square began awarding “Life Status Points (LSP)” from August 3 based on miles accumulated through the Toraripi investment service under the “Toraripi Program That Earns JAL Miles.”
This enables customers not only to earn miles through asset management, but also to work toward attaining Star grades in the JAL Life Status Program.
Toraripi is a system designed to seek profits by automatically repeating buy and sell transactions within a pre-set range in response to price movements in foreign exchange (FX) and stock indices (CFDs). The more transactions customers make, the more miles they earn. Two types of miles can be earned: “Daily Miles,” accrued each day according to the amount of deposited margin and the customer’s status, and “Transaction Miles,” accrued each time a buy or sell transaction is executed. The status system makes it easier to earn miles with a larger deposited margin amount, while JAL Card members earn double Transaction Miles.
For LSP, 400 accumulated miles equal 1 LSP. The annual limit is 100 points, and points are credited once a year, around January. Points are awarded according to the cumulative total of Daily Miles, Transaction Miles, and the “JAL Card Bonus Miles,” a benefit exclusive to JAL Card holders. The first LSP credit will be calculated based on miles earned through investments made on or after August 3.
In addition, the “First-Time Toraripi Support Campaign” will be held. Customers who open a new account during the campaign period, register their JMB customer number with their Money Square account, and trade eligible currency pairs that earn Daily Miles will receive miles based on the number of days they trade. After earning Daily Miles for 30 days, Single Star customers (deposited margin of less than JPY 1 million) will receive 1,000 miles, while Double Star and higher customers (deposited margin of JPY 1 million or more) will receive 2,500 miles. The account-opening completion period runs from August 3 through December 30.
