Uber Japan will partner with the Toto Motor Group.
The Toto Motor Group is a major taxi company operating more than 1,800 vehicles in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Beginning around November, it will gradually introduce the Uber Taxi ride-hailing service and offer the service.
Uber Taxi launched in Tokyo in July 2020. In Tokyo, taxis arrive within an average of four minutes after a booking request is made. Through its partnership with the Toto Motor Group, Uber aims to reduce waiting times and improve matching rates.
