GMO TownWiFi will acquire businesses from CyberAgent, including the “Dot Money” points exchange platform.
“Dot Money” has suspended its services since June 8 following unauthorized access. In preparation for resuming services, it will strengthen security in collaboration with GMO Cybersecurity by Ierae and gradually resume services from August 12 onward.
In addition to “Dot Money,” the businesses being acquired include “Dot Point,” a points issuance and management service; “Dot Money Mall,” an advertising and content listing service where users can earn Dot Money; and “Dot Money Gift,” a service that allows users to send Dot Money to third parties. The transfer price is free of charge. The acquisition date is August 10.
GMO TownWiFi is a wholly owned subsidiary of GMO Product Platform.
