Jetstar Japan will launch its first comprehensive internship program, the “5DAYS Internship,” on September 1.
In addition to an online company introduction, the program will be held at Narita International Airport, the airline’s main base, and will offer participants a cross-functional experience of airline operations, from the front lines of airport operations to corporate departments. The program will introduce the roles and collaboration of various divisions, including safety, maintenance, flight and cabin services, airport operations, and commercial departments. It will also provide opportunities to learn about practical work and career paths through group discussions with employees from each division.
Activities include a company introduction; airport site visits covering check-in counters, ramp operations, maintenance, and cabin crew training facilities; group discussions with senior employees; group presentations; and feedback sessions. The program will take place at Terminal 3 of Narita International Airport and online.
The program consists of five days in total: a two-day summer session and a three-day winter session. Participation in both sessions is required. Multiple dates are available for both the summer and winter sessions, and participants may select different dates for each session. The summer session will be held from September 1 to October 13, while the winter session will run from November 4 through January 14, 2027.
Approximately 440 participants will be accepted. Applicants must be enrolled in a four-year university, graduate school, junior college, vocational school, or college of technology in Japan; students from all academic disciplines are eligible. Applicants must be able to attend all five days of the summer and winter sessions. Non-Japanese nationals must hold Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 certification. Selection will be based on application screening, and applications will be accepted until 1:00 p.m. on August 21.
No compensation, transportation expenses, or accommodation expenses will be provided. However, airline tickets will be provided for Jetstar Japan routes only. Participants must obtain insurance, with the cost covered by the airline. (Photo: Jetstar Japan)
