Vietnam Airlines will launch a Ho Chi Minh City–Colombo route on August 16.
The airline will operate three round trips per week, departing Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and departing Colombo on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Airbus A321 aircraft will be used. Flight time will be 5 hours 20 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City and 5 hours 10 minutes from Colombo.
The route was decided in anticipation of growing travel demand between Vietnam and Sri Lanka, as well as further growth in the South Asian market.
