Starlux Airlines Receives Gold AIRSORAYAMA Airbus A350-1000
American Express and All Nippon Airways (ANA) will fully renew their co-branded ANA American Express Cards. This marks the first complete overhaul since the cards were launched in 2009, with applications for the new cards to open at 1:00 p.m. on September 2.
The renewal covers three cards: the ANA American Express Card, ANA American Express Gold Card, and ANA American Express Premium Card. In addition to redesigned card faces, the Gold and Premium cards will offer enhanced benefits designed to make it easier to earn ANA miles, as well as expanded travel and dining services.
For the Gold Card, members who spend at least 4 million yen, including tax, annually will receive 15,000 bonus miles. They will also have access to Power Lounge Premium at Haneda Airport Terminal 2, while receiving 20% cashback on spending through American Express’s Pocket Concierge dining reservation service, up to 20,000 yen per year.
For the Premium Card, members who spend at least 6 million yen, including tax, annually will receive 30,000 bonus miles. In addition to access to Power Lounge Premium, they will receive 20% cashback on spending through Pocket Concierge, up to 40,000 yen per year.
Existing benefits will also continue. Renewal bonus miles are 1,000 miles for the standard card, 2,000 miles for the Gold Card, and 10,000 miles for the Premium Card. Flight bonus miles are 10%, 25%, and 50%, respectively.
For ANA airline ticket purchases, cardholders will earn a total equivalent of 2.5 miles per 100 yen with the standard card, 3 miles per 100 yen with the Gold Card, and 4.5 miles per 100 yen with the Premium Card. For regular purchases, all cards earn 1 point per 100 yen. At ANA Card Mile Plus participating merchants, earning rates are 1.5 times for the standard card, 2 times for the Gold Card, and 2.5 times for the Premium Card. Payments for public utilities, national taxes, and similar charges earn at half the standard rate.
Annual fees are 7,700 yen for the standard card, 42,900 yen for the Gold Card, and 187,000 yen for the Premium Card. Annual fees for family cards are 2,750 yen per card for the standard card and 21,450 yen per card for the Gold Card, while up to four family cards are free with the Premium Card. All prices include tax.
The Gold Card will continue to offer up to two Priority Pass visits per year. The Premium Card will continue to provide the Premium Free Stay Gift, which includes one complimentary night at eligible hotels in Japan and overseas, unlimited Priority Pass access, access to ANA domestic flight airport lounges, and other benefits.
Each new card design features a motif based on ANA’s signature aircraft tail fin. The designs are intended to more clearly distinguish each card while maintaining a unified look across the overall portfolio.
To coincide with the full renewal, a new-member campaign will also be held. Customers who apply for an eligible card between September 2 and November 4 and meet the required spending conditions can earn up to the equivalent of 242,000 miles with the Premium Card, up to 128,000 miles with the Gold Card, and up to 38,000 miles with the standard card.
In addition, from August 19 through November 18, the ANA Amex Dream Campaign will be held for existing and new co-branded cardholders. A total of 300 applicants will be selected by lottery to receive 50,000 miles.
