Turkish Airlines will launch a new Istanbul–Chengdu route on November 11.
The airline will operate three weekly round trips, departing Istanbul on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and Chengdu on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Boeing 787-9 aircraft, configured with 30 Business Class seats and 270 Economy Class seats for a total of 300 seats, will be used. Flight time will be 8 hours 35 minutes from Istanbul and 10 hours 10 minutes from Chengdu.
Located in western China, Chengdu is one of China’s leading economic and commercial cities, with clusters of industries including electronics, automobiles, aviation, biotechnology, and AI. It has also been designated a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy and is known worldwide for Sichuan cuisine and giant panda conservation facilities.
Chengdu will become Turkish Airlines’ fourth destination in mainland China, following Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
