AirAsia X will suspend its Kuala Lumpur–Sydney route effective October 23.
It currently operates four round trips per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using Airbus A330 aircraft. Flight time is 8 hours 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur and 9 hours 10 minutes from Sydney.
The suspension is part of a network optimization strategy to support the long-term sustainability of its network. Passengers with reservations will be offered refunds or rebooking options.
