Richmond Hotel Naha Kumoji completed a full-property renovation and reopened on July 13.
The redesigned hotel incorporates motifs inspired by the tidal waters of Okinawa’s seas, along with signage modeled after the flow of water.
Guest rooms are equipped with Simmons beds and feature a duvet-style bedding arrangement, in which the entire down comforter is enclosed in a sheet. They also offer fully equipped workspaces with large desks and bright lighting.
A 150-inch large monitor has been installed in the lobby. At the front desk, guests can find bath additives, various skincare products, coffee, and sanpin tea. The hotel’s Terrace Blue restaurant serves a buffet-style breakfast featuring Okinawan local and home-style dishes, including Okinawa soba, tempura, goya champuru, yushi tofu, pork cartilage soki, and mozuku seaweed, as well as Japanese and Western menu items. From 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a complimentary free lounge exclusively for hotel guests offers drinks and Blue Seal ice cream. Children aged 12 and under can share a bed with an adult free of charge.
