United Airlines to Launch New Routes to Naha and Kansai in 2027

United Airlines has announced that it will launch service to 10 new cities in Europe and Asia in 2027, marking the largest expansion of its international network in the company’s history.

In Japan, the airline will launch three weekly round trips between Okinawa/Naha and San Francisco and one daily round trip between Osaka/Kansai and Los Angeles from March 27, 2027. This will be United’s first service to Okinawa/Naha. At Osaka/Kansai, it will serve the airport from three cities, including San Francisco and Guam.

Other new services will include New York/Newark–Luxembourg (from April 2, daily, Airbus A321XLR); Washington/Dulles–Toulouse (from April 26, daily, Airbus A321XLR); New York/Newark–Ljubljana (from May 12, four weekly round trips, Boeing 767-400ER); New York/Newark–Olbia (three weekly round trips, Boeing 767-300ER); New York/Newark–Ibiza (from May 31, four weekly round trips, Airbus A321XLR); New York/Newark–Valencia (from June 2, three weekly round trips, Airbus A321XLR); New York/Newark–Marseille (from June 4, daily, Airbus A321XLR); and New York/Newark–Terceira (from June 9, three weekly round trips, Boeing 737-8). Of the 10 cities, eight are not served by any other U.S. airline.

As additional new routes, United will launch Washington/Dulles–Milan service with three weekly round trips from May 28 and Denver–Paris service with one daily round trip from May 27. San Francisco–Tel Aviv service will also resume with three weekly round trips from March 28.

Since 2017, United Airlines has added 58 international destinations outside the United States and now serves more than 160 cities.
